The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) is a state high school association in the United States that regulates competition in most interscholastic sports and some interscholastic activities at the high school level for the state of Illinois. The association piloted its first IHSA Chess State Series in 1975 and has been active ever since its founding as one of the biggest team chess tournaments in the world. The University of Illinois Laboratory High School, also known as Uni High, has the most championships with 7. The most recent winners were Lincolnshire (Stevenson).
