Hello everybody,

time for some words from my side! (I'm only finishing my last daily games here, nothing else.)

Giving up my essential project France-Deutschland Group (FDG) here with more than 4500 members and restart it elsewhere (at the moment it has 45 members there after less than 1 week) is a decision which doesn't come easy. But too many obstacles have brought me to this point.

Taking good care of massive, difficult matches in FDG, sometimes also in The Great Viking Warriors usually meant sending several 100 private messages, sometimes more than 1000 which meant a lot of work but which had been possible for many years - if you e.g. had written an individual name on the top of the message so that it wasn't always the same message.

But now it's not about "the same message or different messages", the automatical spam filter simply counts messages to say once "STOP-WARNING!".

Then you receive an automatical warning telling you some things which simply are not true, e.g. you are accused of having insulted several opponents.

When I finally reached the 3rd automatical warning I received at the same time the message that my account had been muted for 14 days. The fact that they stopped this mess earlier doesn't change my decision to stop here (I won't close my account but I'll remain passive).

I know that if I'd continue here I had to accept that all my big projects would break down step by step - cause these spam rules don't allow the good old club organization from older days.

This staff here is obviously not interested in clubs, especially not in huge clubs, I have my theory to that.

You probably have noticed many server breakdowns due to data overloads, huge clubs need a lot of data space. If my theory is right it would certainly be better to communicate this frankly instead of calling good admins spammers. But I have noticed that the server breakdowns due to data overloads have clearly been reduced - maybe cause many clubs have fallen asleep and many good admins have reduced/stopped working for their clubs here, of course much more data space is free then.

The spam filter is one decisive problem, another problem is the fact that from time to time automical messages for new matches don't come, so that (nearly) no player joins the match.

If you're an unlucky admin and this match is (normally) really massive you have to compensate this server fault (!) by many messages - a club announcement's usually not enough, by the way,

the more club announcements you send, the more members turn them off - or quit the club.

But sending many messages means finally spamming for the automatical filter, even if a server fault had been responsible for the messages - what a dilemma!

It doesn't make a difference at all if you organize a big strong club and send many messages for matches, or if you are a big tournament organizer like Bernd and send many messages to remind club admins not to forget tournament matches - staff doesn't care at all if the messages are necessary or not, probably the biggest part of them is only interested in live-chess.

Most of the comments here have one common line:

If 1WL is stopped many essential matches will miss, club admins don't like that.

The admins who write in this direction either don't believe that problems are that big or they're desperately hoping for a miracle.

Admins, please sweep these feelings away!

Whoever would continue 1WL he/she would risk warnings/being muted/being finally closed.

The same thing would finally happen to me if I would continue properly on this site - not as a lame duck!
