*** Important! ***

I have cancelled my Diamond membership because I am utterly disappointed with Chess.com - among piles of bad decisions and changes, they failed to follow their own very strict Fair Play Policy against obvious cheaters.

I decided not to be as active as I used to be ... The only thing that prevents me from closing my user account is the fellowship with the members of the Club of Numbers. As one of the earliest members, I joined our club on February 20th, 2021.

I became the owner of the Club of Numbers out of the blue on July 16th, 2021, after the user account of its creator, @Magnus-GOAT, was banned because of Abuse!

Bans because of Abuse are problematic. Unlike a ban because of Fair Play Violations, where the evidence of using prohibited help is visible even after the ban, there is no evidence in the case of a ban because of Abuse! As the new owner, I asked Support for a single piece of evidence as to why @Magnus-GOAT was banned. They were very polite but did not give me any evidence, citing their Company Policy.

Since then, I have been playing only for our club, and apart from a few comments, I have been completely inactive in other clubs.

Before I retired, I thought it would be nice to try to return to chess and work on my improvement... As I am finally retired, I now realize that I can devote much less time to chess than I thought I would be able to. I mostly analyze superb games from the past!

I used to play Daily Games in Tournaments. Nowadays, when I play here on Chess.com, I play Daily Matches and Vote Chess games for the Club of Numbers. I also love to play against Computer opponents called 'bots'...

When the Club of Numbers was created, we tried to make it a friendly club that would have frequent team Daily Matches in rating brackets and proper Vote Chess games. My good friend, @Nightwish85, was very active those days... Although there is much less club activity nowadays, some of us are still playing Daily Matches and Vote Chess games. If you would like to become a member,  message me and we'll talk about the Club of Numbers!

Here are some of the famous chess quotes I like the most:

When you see a good move, look for a better one! (Emanuel Lasker)

Avoidance of mistakes is the beginning, as it is the end, of mastery in chess. (Eugene Znosko-Borovsky)

You can't play what you don't see
... and you won’t see anything if you don’t take the time to look! (Andrew Soltis & Dan Heisman)

Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make us happy. (Siegbert Tarrasch)
