My name is Ken San Nicolas. I started playing chess in November 2022. I am so trash at this game. I'm a video game player! I like Street Fighter 6, DOTA 2, Hearthstone, Magic the Gathering etc. That said, I have a beautiful wife and cute baby boy, so I have little to no time to play those games. As such, I have to resort to chess! 

They say that people shouldn't learn openings as beginners but I think there is logic in learning an opening and sticking to it. Right now, I play:
WHITE:  Jobava London and Scotch Gambit (mostly the jobava. I'd like to be more positional.)
BLACK: Caro Kann. Against d4 I play d5 and just try to make logical moves. I'm a considerably poorer player with the black pieces.
