Meanwhile, 'Gibraltar' is under way and Judit Polgar will give a Masterclass
Besides the Tata Steel tournament, another strong event has started a few days ago: the 2012 Tradewise Chess Festival. After three rounds only Nigel Short, Mickey Adams, Hou Yifan, Sabino Brunello and Ruben Felgaer still have a 100% score.

This year the Tradewise Gibraltar Chess Festival celebrates its 10th edition. The open tournament, the Gibraltar Masters, has the largest concentration of grandmasters and players ever. The event started on Tuesday, 24 January, and so three rounds have been played so far.
Among the players who are on 3/3 we don't find the two top seeds, Peter Svidler and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov. After beating Jovanka Houska in the first round, Svidler had to be satisfied with a draw against both Artur Jussupow and Anna Muzychuk. Mamedyarov won his first two games, but then suffered a loss against Nigel Short, who explains his win here:
