Hi chess lovers!

My name is Alex Terzi, a FIDE Master from Belarus. I am a 26 years-old active player and online chess coach. I befriended the chessboard at the age of 5.  Soon after, this game which promises fun and cognitive benefits at the same time became not only my hobby but also my greatest passion. When I was 7 years old, I started learning chess basics at the chess school in Minsk, and then I was fortunate to move to a professional chess training center where I perfectly honed my chess skills.

Chess is a game to which I have devoted 17 years of my life. Throughout these years, I have been the winner of a plethora of international chess tournaments and festivals, including the Belarusian Chess Championship. In fact, getting the FIDE Master title in 2017 was the proudest moment in my chess career; now my Elo is 2322.

Immediately after this title, I decided to put my chess knowledge and training into work. So, I started giving online chess lessons to individuals in both English and Russian languages. Currently, I work with beginner and intermediate players from different parts in the world like Canada, the USA, Australia, Norway and Russia. Thanks to my 4 years of chess coaching experience in the kids club, I have learned the best coaching strategies and tactics on which I rely to train my students. As a professional chess coach, I have helped many students around the world to train their minds to be attentive and focused; many of whom have gone on to win important chess tournaments and competitions.

My boredom-free coaching philosophy as well as my professional, friendly and easy to work with nature is highly appreciated by my students from all levels, and they express that in words and in coming back over and over. So, what about you? Don’t you want to learn chess and win yourself a match or two?

My training program is global: it's about improving your attitude, discipline, technical skills, and work to better understand your mistakes (also "why" you make such mistakes) and how to "read" a position to give a better response to it. There are some little important rules for understanding any kind of position and answer to the question "What should I do in this position?".
