Hi! My name is Milan Zajić and I'm 25 years old. I'm grandmaster from Serbia and I am also a PhD student at the most prestigious university in the country - Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade. My highest FIDE rating is 2517. My highest FIDE rapid rating is 2565. I took silver medal on World Youth chess championship under 15 years old in Al Ain (UAE) 2013, and I took silver medal on European team Chess championship under 19 years in Poland 2017. If you are looking for the perfect coach, you are in the right place! If you are interested for chess lessons and you want to make significant progress in chess feel free to contact me per mail: [email protected]

At the age of 14, I became World vice-champion U14 in Al Ain, UAE, and just a year later, in 2014, my very good play during the Serbian High League led me to a GM norm.

In 2015,  I won the strong “Georgi Tringov” Memorial Open Tournament in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. I head the field of 289 players, including 14 GMs and 23 IMs, performing 2622 ELO, adding 23 new points to my rating and fulfilling my second GM norm.

In may 2015, I won the third GM norm and soon I became the youngest grandmaster in Serbia.

In 2017, I won the silver medal on European youth team chess championship in Poland, where I played first table for national team of Serbia.

I played successfully for the national team of Serbia on the Olympiad in 2018 in Batumi in Georgia, and European team chess championship in Batumi, Georgia in 2019.

I am the member of the chess club ''Jelica PEP''. We won the gold medal in the First League of Serbia in 2020 and the silver medal in 2022. Also, we won ''Svetozar Gligorić Cup'' two years in a row (2021,2022).

I started playing chess at the age of 6. My grandfather taught my brother Milun and me how to play. It was very interesting for me to watch them play, so I really wanted to learn the game. I spend my free time hanging out with friends, watching sports, from time to time I read a good book, I love travelling…

I have a chess school in Kruševac and I have experience working with young people. Also,  I believe that physical preparation is also very important for chess players. Chess became part of the educational system in many countries (China, India, United States of America, Russia, Armenia, Uzbekistan etc.). Chess develops many positive qualities such as calmness, concetration, logic, fair play, learning to think startegically. Of course, chess provides a lot of pleasure and entertainment. So, improving in chess is always the right choice!
