Hello! My name is Dan. I've been playing chess since I was a teenager. I played in school matches in Florida in the early 80's. I have a USCF rating of 1580, but I've only played in a handful of rated OTB tournaments in the past  20 years or so. 

If you feel like saying "hello" during one of our matches, talking about the weather, or whatever, feel free to do so. Everyone I have met here at chess.com has been very friendly and I hope to be the same!
