Hi, my name is Alex (short for Alexander) and I've been playing chess since I was 6 years old. I like chess because it helps to develop thinking skills, makes me smarter in a variety of ways, and it is just mainly fun. My favorite opening is the Nimzo Larsen Attack: Modern Variation for white and the Sicilian Defense for black.
